Collection Area


The Curriculum Materials Center offers a work area with seating for up to 24 guests. This consists of two-sided work tables with accompanying chairs. Guests are welcome to work in the center whether using the textbook collection or working on their own projects.

The center is also available for class use. Instructors may bring students for a tour of the center, schedule to have the class meet within the center for an assignment, or assign a project that requires students to visit the center for resources. The center has a staff of friendly and helpful students to assist you in finding what you may need. Please call to schedule your next class visit.

CMC Computer Lab

A401 CMC Computer Lab

The CMC computer lab offers 18 student workstations and one black/white Xerox printer connected to the Vol Card system. These workstations have various software programs for instructional and student use. In addition, the following equipment is also available:

CMC Graduate School of Education Student Lounge

The CMC Graduate School of Education (GSE) Student Lounge offers a comfortable, private seating area for students to meet for small group discussions, meetings with faculty members, etc., in a relaxing environment instead of a classroom or in an open lab area. Seating consists of four ottomans, two chairs, and a couch. Available at the front desk of the CMC is a multimedia projector to do practice runs for dissertations or small projects. The room is equipped with a chalkboard and pull-down screen for these meetings and/or discussions.

This room is available by reservation at the front desk or by calling 865-974-8143 and if not in use, on a first-come, first-serve basis. This room is for use by CEHHS faculty, staff, or students only.


To reserve the computer lab area, you must contact Kayla Whitt via email or at 865-974-4281. The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences has priority reservations with all others considered based upon availability.
